Reminder: Let's Talk About Casinos
Don't forget, this year's general membership meeting and board elections will be held on Tuesday, October 14th. The topic for the evening will be the possibility of a casino coming to the Gallery.

We have invited representatives from Foxwoods, Councilman DiCicco and Mayor Street and his city representatives.

The meeting will be held at 7pm at the Jefferson Alumni Hall, 1029 Locust Street, at the Solis-Cohen Auditorium on the first floor. PLEASE ATTEND THIS IMPORTANT MEETING...WE NEED YOUR INPUT.



Kahn Park Antique & Craft Fair
Louis Kahn Park at 11th and Pine will be holding it's annual fair on Saturday, October 11 from 9-5 (rain date, Oct. 12). If you would like to donate books to the event, or would like any other information, please call 215-546-6460.

Wash West Incidents
The below incidents in the Wash. Sq. West area were recently reported to the 6th District:

(ARREST) On Tuesday, 09/16/08, 7:45 PM, Sgt. LaRose set up a narcotics surveillance in the 13th Street Corridor area. The surveillance team observed a male smoking marijuana in the 200 block of S. Juniper St., The 32 year old offender with a Germantown address was charged with Possession of Marijuana.

(REPORT) On Tuesday, 09/16/08 Between 10 AM and 6 PM, the door frame of complainant's apartment in the 1000 block of Pine St., was damaged and missing from inside was a laptop. Incident wasn't reported until 24 hours later, the scene was contaminated, therefore, no latent finger prints were lifted.

(ARREST) On Wednesday, 09/17/08, 10:45 PM, a male was arrested in the 1200 block of Locust St. by the City Wide Vice Unit for Prostitution.

(ARREST) On Wednesday, 09/17/08, 11:00 PM, a male was arrested in the 1200 block of Spruce St. by the City Wide Vice Unit for Prostitution.

(ARREST) On Wednesday, 09/17/08, 11:30 PM, Sgt. LaRose set up a narcotics surveillance in the 13th Street Corridor area. The surveillance team observed a male rolling a marijuana blunt in the 1200 block of St. James St., The 18 year old offender with an Upper Darby address was charged with Possession of Marijuana.

(REPORT) On Friday, 09/15/08, complainant's heard footsteps inside their apartment in the 1200 block of Spruce St. at 1 AM, did not see anything amiss. Later, at 10 AM, discovered laptops missing. Complainant's admitted that the front door was unlocked. 6th District Officer Sprouls attempted to lift latent finger prints from the scene.

(REPORT) On Sunday, 09/21/08, 1:10 AM, complainant was in the 300 block of S. Camac St. when two males approached him from behind, one male went through the complainant's pockets while the other male displayed a handgun. They fled north on Camac with complainant's wallet. The offenders were described as black males, one wearing a white hoody, no further description, no injuries.

(REPORT) Between 10 AM, Saturday, 09/20/08 and 7:50 AM, Sunday, 09/21/08, complainant's 2000 Honda, parked in the 1300 block of Pine St. had a window smashed and a GPS and CD player taken. 6th District Officer Minnis processed the scene and lifted latent finger prints.
