6th District Townhall Meeting

The 6th District Town Hall Meeting will be on Tuesday, June 17th, 2008 from 7pm-8.30pm at the 6th District Located at 235 N. 11th St.

Monthly Town Hall Meetings will be held every 3rd Tuesday of the Month from 7pm-8.30pm at the 6th District Located at 235 N. 11th St.

Please pass the word, to all neighbors, residents and community groups within the 6th District, please come out and discuss concerns, find solutions and receive information, about how we can together make our district a cut above the rest.

BE A FRIEND OF SEGER PLAYGROUND

The Friends of Seger Park is planning their first big fundraising event for the Friends of Seger Park Playground! THIS SATURDAY, MAY 3rd, FROM 11AM TO 3PM!

It will be a carnival-like event, with fun for the whole family, with a petting zoo, moon bounce, face painting, music, crafts, a raffle and lots of food and fun! The rain date is Saturday, May 10th.

HELP PAINT THE DuBOIS MURAL!

On Saturday, May 3rd, from 11-3, the Mural Arts Program is hosting a community paint day for the W.E.B. Du Bois and Black Firefighters mural at Engine 11th, the first African-American firehouse in Philadelphia, at 6th and South Street. Yes, this means we get to help paint the mural -- the part showing the map that Du Bois created of the Seventh Ward, to be specific. This will be a family-friendly event with food, music, button-making and face-painting, so be sure to bring your children.
